The Bearded Dapper Gents are focused on grooming young men as a whole Both inside and out. The Gents are represented as well dressed individuals it is known that a man's outward appearance can change his perception, views on life and give him the confidence he needs to succeed. Ideally, the Gents are focused on raising capital for ten young men a year to partake in the program with excess funds allowing for a greater number of participants when possible. I am still so stunned at what an amazing job they did with. All proceeds are funneled back into “A Brother’s Duty” and its programs allowing for one on one mentorship opportunities, lunch and transportation to events and outfitting every young man that is a member of the program with a suit and all of the necessary accessories (shoes, belts, shirt, tie and any other needs). The Dapper Gents performed for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at our wedding in October. The organization is funded by various revenue streams including a crowdfunding campaign, fundraising events and donations from the supporting public. This mentoring initiative was created to have a positive effect on the self-esteem of its young members and to support them as they navigate the world while become strong Black men. The crux of the program is that it is the responsibility of every man to lift a brother up when he falls down catch him when he stumbles and to give advice when it is needed. Our services are performed by the most experienced stylist and barbers in Michigan. A Brothers Duty was created to guide young African American boys through hands on mentorship by the Bearded Dapper Gents. At Dapper Gents you can come relax and be treated like a King.
